OUR TEAM & STORY

Our Roots

Better Green’s fledging roots over 25years ago came from a close-knit group of friends who worked during their summer holiday breaks running event bars, building festivals, and marquees.

In 2007 Ed Parsons spent a year working for a pop-up summer / Christmas party venue, here is where Ed cut his teeth and developed his production values and honed his site management skills. This is where he met Dee, and with her creative and commercial mind, they then went on to form a business together and this was the beginning of The Better Green Group.

22 years later, now married with two children, the company has a wider family of over 45+ crew and over 400 projects, some of which are showcased on this site.

Our Story

Better Green's family ethos and strong community resonate through the whole group from the top down. Founders Ed and Dee met at a temporary structure company in 2004; by 2006, they joined forces and launched their own production company that specialised in temporary bar builds for alcohol brands. By 2010 they became a couple, married in 2014, and now have two children. The rest they say is history on the timeline below.

  • BGPs first significant event was for RPM Ltd, the Strongbow Festival tour, which established the Better Green name on the experiential landscape.

  • BGP then saw rapid growth as BGP's name became synonymous with a friendly and collaborative service, a positive workforce, and never stopping until the job was done, no matter what the weather or challenges!

  • BGP would never shy away from short lead times whilst producing quality activation; this increased their good reputation, client list and retention. At the pitch level, the creative ideas and BGP's in-house design were attractive to the agencies they worked for and often gave their clients the edge in winning briefs and delivering as promised from Day 1.

  • As BGP grew, so did the size of projects and the team's knowledge base; activations such as The Pepsi Tower and The Danish Quarter have become iconic installations on UK festival sites.

  • BGP expanded into the pop-up market; BGP designed and installed Brixton Rooftop, which was awarded Pop-up of the Year in 2015, and 2016 and was nominated in 2017. View Brixton Rooftop Project

  • BGP is now well established and experienced in a multi-faceted company that offers creative and budget-led marketing responses, including experiential, touring, vehicle and container conversion, large format branding, stand design, pop-up exhibition design and build and special marketing projects.

  • Multiple platforms: events, experiential, touring, stand-to-build, pop-up, festivals, exhibitions, and special projects.

  • During the pandemic, BGP is proud to say they are one of few production companies that survived and saw 149% growth DURING Covid. This growth was due to BGP's message to clients, ' Do Something, Not Nothing', encouraging brands to activate during the pandemic. Out of this proactive inspiration brand activation, 'Raising the Bar', a support package for 500 Nationwide Diageo & Guinness customers, Pub Landlords, was created. This activation was an extraordinary and emotional rollout that saw BGP keep its team in regular work, suppliers in regular orders and even a competitor from the brink of closure.
